How Apple JUST Ruined the M4 iPad Pro with iPadOS 18..

Apple's iPadOS18 software update is by far the most dissapointing update in years, especially seeing all of the other innovations for iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. Here are my thoughts..

Never forget that Apple is all about selling as many products as possible. Apple would NEVER make an iPad that would replace a Mac. They love it when people buy both machines. Why would they want to change that?

We dont need MacOS on the Ipad - but I do agree that Apple needs to make features like Audio, File management and Stage Manager more robust. With that said, I feel no need to upgrade from my M1 IPad Pro - and if I did, I would probably get the M2 IPad Air….

iPadOS 18 is the PERFECT advertisement for you to buy either an iPad Air or a MacBook Air or Mac mini. That easy!

A docked MacOS type UX, when enabled, after connecting to a keyboard and mouse - with a proper cursor, and the ability to run Mac Software. Then when undocked, back to the traditional iPhone/iPadOS UI. This is my dream.

I returned my M4 Pro for an Apple Refurb M3 MBA w/ 16/1 TB for the same price I spent on similar specs as the iPad. No brainer after watching WWDC.

A desktop feature that is missing from iOS is undo/redo buttons in the system’s keyboard.

I bought and I’m keeping my M4 iPad Pro. I love the OLED and it’s my favorite device to consume content. It’ds not cheap but I just switched it from the 2018 version so it will last me at least that long. I’m not sure if you guys have said it or I’m sure I’ve said it, “buying something for the hope or proimise of what it may be able to do in the future is the worst type of investment desition you can make. Removing Today View was one of it’s biggest mistakes, but again I only use it to mostly consume content. Although I have to admit that since I bought it with the magickeyboard I use it to write much more than I used my 2018 iPad. Over powered? Absolutely but if it fits what you want to do with it and you got the money for it, why not?
