I am 66 years old this year, I saw this in the movie theaters when it came out in 1986, and it is STILL a great comedy which evokes laughs from me in a very special way!!

Saw this movie as a double feature with "Back to School" starring Rodney Dangerfield. Loved how this movie put "Twist and Shout" back on the charts after 20 years. Thanks for posting!

Crazy Ruck was almost 30 playing a high schooler but fantastic casting throughout! I’m showing this 80s classic during part of my birthday party April 8!

I saw all of the John Hughes movies in the theater. I enjoyed going to movies then. Now I never go to a movie. And John Hughes films always had a nice message and you always left feeling good.

Music lover John Hughes made sure Ferris had the best stereo equipment... Carver amp and Audiosource EQ. Legendary quality.

He's a righteous dude! Loved this movie. I skipped a day or two in my high school days. I had a friend in the attendance office who checked me as "in" when I wasn't. 😉

One of my favorite movies of the 80s. I skipped school once to go downtown Chicago to see a Richard Pryor film, called Silver Streak..

Ferris's overall philosophy helped me along of not stressing over life.
In Jr. High, I rode the school bus 25 miles to school in a country town. Once I arrived, I decided that I didn't want to be there. I walked off campus before the first bell. I ducked out in a nearby cemetery for an hour. Then walked into town where I spent the day. When school let out, I simply walked casually back on campus and got on the bus which rode me 25 miles back home. All just to see if I could do it.

I definitely could relate to Cameron's character...I was timid, shy, uptight ..I wouldn't have dared to ditch..lol..I wish I could go back and tell my younger self "hey..it's gonna be alright..its not the end of the world..relax ..it'll be okay..it'll pass".. " one of my favorite movies..I miss the 80's
