I remember the ending, when Ferris goes into the kitchen the entire theater crowd all stopped in our tracks while egressing the place. When he said the end lines "...go home..." we all got embarrassed & laughed then filed out still laughing about how he got us all!!

This movie is my absolute favorite of all time EVER! The first movie I memorized (including singing along to all the music). My sister was so annoyed because she knew that my little 9yr old self didn't really understand what was going on. As time went on to somewhere in the late 90's/early 2000's it was playing on like HBO or something. I recall my mind being completely blown.
It was like the first time I'd ever seen it but still knew all the lines. P.S. I'm glad Emelio turned it down. Alan was perfect for Cameron.

Growing up in the Chicagoland area at this time my friends and I would drive around Northbrook, Deerfield, Winnetka, etc. looking for sites from the movie. We found most but Ferris’ house is actually in California. Great video!!

I caught the end of this movie when I was a kid in the 80s.. all I could remember was them trying to run the car backwards and it crashes through those floor to ceiling windows...

It bugged me and lived rent free in my head for YEARS.. not until I finally found it in the late 90s and was overjoyed when I finally watched it all again and found out it was a great movie too!

My wife went to Glenbrook North HS while this movie was being filmed. She and her classmates were able to watch the scene when Broderick picks Sloan up in the Ferrari. FBDO will always have a place in her heart. She got such a kick out of you mentioning GNHS. Thanks!

Ruck and Broderick were noticed at the same time. They were doing the Broadway run of Biloxi Blues together in '85. I think they even mention it on the DVD commentary and in one of the 'Behind the scenes' videos made during the shoot.
