A not so brief dissertation on the horrors of a typical Nashville summer.

Please people…if you are indeed gaining knowledge and power from watching these videos…you can always visit the paypal tip jar at

I’m not trying to come across like some kind of Youtube martyr here, but i hope you guys realize that I purposely turn off the monetization on my videos so you don’t have to sit through fucking ads….i also never ask you fuckers to “smash that like button”…and, i never put thumbnails on my videos with big font that says “YOU ARE PLAYING HIGHWAY TO HELL WRONG AND YOU ARE A LOSER” with a picture of my face looking mean.

That HAS to be worth something

Jeff Beck is one of the few guitarists about whom the word “tone” needs to be pluralized. Through the years, Beck has created an array of tones, each of them distinctive and compelling. His whammy bar work on the Strat is otherworldly, but he is powerful and evocative on a Les Paul, a Tele, and other models. I was stoked when his Iridium gig in honor of Les Paul the man came out on DVD, showcasing Beck’s brilliance on an assortment of guitars. But no matter what guitar model he wields, Beck’s voice on the instrument is distinctive: one moment he can sound like absolutely no one else, a true original, and the next moment, he’s a veritable ventriloquist conjuring up the voice of one of the old-school blues guitar giants he cut his teeth on — or calling up the ghosts of Scotty Moore, Cliff Gallup, Les Paul himself, and others. Beck’s version of Little Wing soars like no other (except maybe Jimi’s). To my ears, our venerable Uncle Larry shares this quality with Beck: the ability to have a compelling, distinct guitar voice while also navigating his way convincingly and authentically through many musical styles. Our venerable Uncle Larry, a session icon, is no copycat. Neither is Mr. Beck.

For someone living in Queensland Australia, you hear 'It's not the heat it's the humidity' all the time. The title for this video cracked me up. Cheers Tom. Best channel.

Jeff Beck. What else is there to say? He's one of the few "Real Deals". FULL STOP

Paid YouTube subscription. No ads, no interruptions, just the content I want to hear. Worth every penny.

Homeskoolin'. Amazing resource. An award winning musician freely sharing his years of knowledge and experience. WOW!!. I appreciate your contribution and efforts Tom. Heading to the Tip Jar a little later today. It's long overdue. Thanks for the reminder (kick in the ass) Tom. I value you.

I’m not a great guitar player by any stretch but these videos keep me motivated, every time I pick up my guitar the words “ don’t let your fingers keep falling in the same places” runs through my head and then I push to learn something new. It’s a slow process but worth it. Thanks for the inspiration.

My 3 favorite guitarist are Jerry Garcia, David Gilmour, and Tom Bukovac.

Seriously, Plexi Soul is probably my most played album the past 2 years. The whole family loves it. The world needs more of it.

That Duane Allman lick is why I bought a slide and a second guitar to play on a raised nut. For years I had the Guitar player cover page of Duane Allman and that of Jimi Hendrix hanging on my home studio wall.

Best thing I’ve ever done was signed up for YouTube monthly——as much as I use it—-the ads would drive me crazy!
Oh—and I have adjusted to Jeff Beck with the wang bar. I noticed it on “People Get Ready” with Rod Stewart—so he’s been doing it now for over 30 yrs.
Like You Said Larry…he’s Jeff Beck!

Thanks Tom! You have helped this slow old man start to figure out the musical language. And a Spinal Tap/Jeff Beck nugget to boot. Both classics. Appreciate your takes. And you’re welcome to hang out in nor-cal for the summer.
