Uncle Larry, you need an additional nickname: the Escape Artist. I don’t know how you turn 12 notes into such a journey, but I sure love those twists and turns and the way you always find your way. We are seeing an artist’s world, my friends. At work The Session Man might need to play those cowboy chords to make the people in the clean jeans happy, but here this man is living and breathing music in a way that is a privilege to experience. I love hearing and seeing TB the Artist.

Tom a member of my family was severely injured in the buffalo shooting and survived... miraculously...one of 3 to survive... devastating... families destroyed...I'll forever remember this song...thanks for your heartfelt thoughts...as a father I'm fucking furious what's happening in this country...stay strong and stay safe brother...💪👊🙏💔🎸🎶☮️...the important things really come bk into focus through tragedy sadly but crucially cuz it shows the the importance and necessity of music to help open the human emotions to the love that's possible and displace the hate...music is one of few things that can externally reach into a person's heart and soul and change them...❤️💔🙏

I feel ya on the Texas thing, Tom. Another gut punch. The acoustic guitar struck the right mood -- and you struck the right chords. Pretty stuff. I've been teaching high school since the days before Columbine -- and then 9/11. It was a different world. Nowadays the kids are numb to the shootings. I wedged the beloved Texan Eric Johnson into a lesson on Tuesdays With Morrie. We were covering chapters on love and our odd culture, so I put "Love or Confusion" on the smartbaoard. Afterwards the kids were mostly intrigued that it was a Hendrix cover. They had nothing to say about Texas beyond sad shrugs. I'm not sure whether the kids are showing resilience or helplessness. ...I ran that lesson three times, one of the classes got a Homeskoolin' plug when it showed up in the feed after I clicked off. I pointed to your mug and said, "And you ought to check out this guy's channel." The seemed surprised that I knew about things on Youtube.

These are some of my favourite sounds played on an acoustic. Trying to learn this style of playing on acoustic was always a mystery for me. Whenever I heard similar being played through the years I was never able to quite figure it out. You’ve opened the door for me and now I’m experimenting and exploring lots with this.
