Hello lads, here’s a little clip from Omnisound Studio in sunny downtown Nashville today.

Artist was Patrick Davis....band was Freddie Eltringham on drums, Mark Hill on bass, Tim Lauer on keys, Jedd Hughes on guitar.

I know its weird just seeing one piece of the puzzle, but please understand the legal implications of trying to show the recording of the whole song are waaaaay more than i wanna deal with.

As a novice and outsider, it's very cool to see how the sausage gets made.

That's honestly some of the best tone I've ever heard, even for Tom. Just UNREAL.

For someone who claims not to be a slide player, that’s some pretty nice work, Uncle Larry.

Seeing you using your Furious Slide absolutely made my year. Damn, I needed that. Thank you my friend.

Man, beautiful stuff. I was just turned on to your channel a couple of days ago and I can't stop watching. As someone who plays guitar terribly and only for my own amusement/therapy, it's an amazing treat to be able to have this channel where a world class bad ass gives pointers, wisdom and great stories. During such a shitty time in the world, with everyone cooped up, depressed, and longing for an outlet, music and art is incredibly important coping strategy. So the fact that you share your time and talents to help all of us make music is a very kind gesture and much appreciated.
All the best, Tom.

Uncle Larry, I find that Home Skoolin Number 36, while not the coolest thing I have learned from you, is crucial for everyone to watch. The Devil is in the details. Just when I thought my touch was getting better, I watched this little studio update. We have all seen you play like a delicate little flower, but holy smokes, you are lighter on the stings (when needed) than I can handle right now. Your touch, and watching you play over the last 6-8 months has been crucial to my development as a player. You have so much patience in the moments its extremely hard to focus for. and Man, I love the sappy and panty droppin tunes you do. Kids watch every episode. Even if you feel like it is above your level of playing (and it is for most of us) you will literally take something away from every watch.

pure gold. the touch, the dynamics, the pure focus throughout. I do believe attending homeschoolin' has improved my whole approach, as I slowly discover the deeper depths of sound this piece of wood and strings can deliver. Thank You.

Soulful and tasteful playing - thanks for sharing this! Hints of Ry Cooder at times. Surely Uncle Larry loves him some Ry!

Tom, I just want to express my appreciation for letting us inside the crankcase of this engine. Hearing the pistons slapping time, the intricacies of the valves pushing back against the valve springs, and just getting a glimpse from inside the magic of it all. So this is how it looks from the inside…… a tip of my hat and a low humble bow…..

That touch though...doing exactly what's right for the track and nothing more. That's greatness. Thanks for bringing us along!

An absolute education and privilege to observe you at work. Dynamics, feel, nary a glance at the chart... wow! Thank you and all concerned for sharing - I, and thousands of others, will lift our dropped jaws in due course.

What a beautiful jaguar... Magical chord flow there, UL. My father bought me a late 60's black jaguar, with matching headstock. White pickguard... I stupidly traded it for an anniversary strat.. Man, what a fool in the early 90's...

Nailed it. My God that slide tone you’re getting from that Strat is unbelievable! Beautiful playing little Tommy. Watching a journeyman artist ply his trade is awesome.

It must be an amazing feeling to have the ability to create something that magnificent out of thin air.
