A little late night blues for all the ones that like to skool at home, after the kids go to bed.

This one goes out to an old long lost friend who has drifted far away…

Thanks for watching the show friends.

It's about 8 in the morning here. Just woke up. Almost too beautiful to listen to before the first coffee. Have a nice day everybody.

You know its funny. I feel so privaleged to be a part of our family here. To think of all I have learned from licks to ways to imprivise to ways of thinking about playing style and touch . Even though its not a gear channel. Man have I gotten a look into truly what kind of gear is the most covetted and worth having all since the covid lessons. Now I even feel like I get the inside line into the seen in Nashville of all places man what blessings My good old buddy has really blessed us by bringing into our lives. A truly inspirational musician. Touch master. Music encyclopedia, and full on bad ass but sweet dear man like he himself would say about those he speaks of caring about. I am probably rambling now but im not saying anything thats not already known about this special soul. Thanks so much Tom!!! You my friend are my hero, no doubt. .

Just wanted to say thanks for doing this. I was born in 73 and raised on Dio, Maiden, Rainbow and more, and later felt a sort of relief when grunge broke the barriers and made it possible to actually see a future as a musician. The hair rock always felt a bit too expensive and out of reach somehow. Anyway, grunge was my door to trying out the life of a musician. Three albums and a few european tours later I realized that touring wasn't for me and I sort of fell out of love for a while. The inspiration has come and gone through the years, but (and now to the actual point) your approach and no bullshit, no make up attitude has really made me listen in a new way. It's opened up new dynamics and taught me a new approach to the guitar. It's like a new lease on creativity that I didn't expect closing in on 50. Thanks again and may you live long and prosper. Take good care, much love from Sweden.

"This one goes out to an old long lost friend who has drifted far away". .. reminds me of a line form a Billy Collins poem called "Forgetfulness." ...I listened and felt the pathos of George Harrison -- and laughed about a poem I wrote yesterday. Inspired by disagreements with Uncle Larry and my favorite Beatle, I wrote Uncle Larry style, pick up the guitar and jam on the first take. ...from the notebook of unpublishable crap:

In the Mix of Lydia
(for Tom and George)

These are the lessons for a boy from Cleveland
First came the cacophony from Elvis the Pelvis
Some say the shills fainted for Sinatra
McCarthy drove them mad from the underbrush
While Miller recalled the hysteria in Salem
Perhaps the soul Lydia floated about Andromeda
As four mop tops saw the meeting of mania and hysteria
The crowds roared like a jet and surged like a tsunami
Lydia learned from the wrong hand and fell silent
She fell in love with the quiet one and Here Comes the Sun
A Python and This Song explained the Madness of King George
The clown face hid the tears, the makeup masked the scars
Lydia told the Lie of the Partial Story, often and well
She knew abuse and its accumulations over time
She knew the injuries of body and mind, tolled and untold
King George knew deafness from jet engines and rock in a Cavern
the beatings of the head in car accident and assassination attempts
The Gardner tilled on in serenity without complaint
Lydia met a boy who could play Here Comes the Sun
He said, I like you, let's keep it as friends, and chased a blonde girl named Monica
The Master scolded Bruce, Bob and Neil on the harmonica
He praised when Stevie Wonder played As Time Goes By
Lydia smiled alone beneath a poster of Bryan Ferry
But she sensed a serpent in the garden, like Hamlet the King
As the madness in George made the ukulele sing
The blonde spurned the boy and the guitar gently weeped
George spread the madness and the masses fell in line
Lydia drowned the drunks in Hawaii with And You And I
She loved George, despite his madness
He said Beware of Darkness because of the sadness
His soul ground fine through a jet engine whirl
He lived among us, in a parallel world
Here among the broken, straw, in quiet desperation
Lydia learned love betrays and hit bottom
She saw the news in Austin, King George was dead
Nothing, nothing, nothing, frames without pictures
Crackerbox Palace sank and settled into the dungeon
Lydia found a Time Machine in Number Nine Dream
George the Second started the Crusades with the Illuminati gang
Of course, of course, the second was worse than the first
Mass hysteria, Sympathy for the Devil and Vlad the Impaler
Riches for the victors who murder their neighbors
Dark Ages of mental slavery, screams of genocide
These, to Lydia's ears, equaled the sound of a ukulele

I could feel that welling up from somewhere down deep. I'm sure your friend felt it too.

This guy knows about pain... The sound of hopeful suffering dancing off the fretboard . A meloncholic trance that just froze me for 128 seconds. Thank you.

The Drifters! Great novel! Man you are the most pianistic guitarist I swear! I love hearing you play the guitar. Hope your old long lost friend at least found some comfort in Nowheresville!

Reminded me a bit of Sting's "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You" - the Jag sounds fantastic! So rich.. Speaking of "rich" - we are musically in this channel, in your generosity and heartfelt offerings to this, your beloved Class. Cheers, UL.

Rather fitting. A guy I used to hang out with spent a long time in “Nowheresville” and it always bothered me. I heard he passed away this morning. Thanks for the soundtrack.

Absolutely beautiful, Tom 💔 I have a family member who has strayed off the beaten path and I think about him often, this was so very moving.
If you get a minute, I find “Wandering Boy” by Randy Newman kindles a similar feeling for me.
Thank you for everything as always uncle Larry 🙏

Those chord changes remind me of “if I ever lose my Faith in you” by Sting

Tom, God bless you my man. I have been playing that same feeling for over 30 years and you know what? She couldn't care less. Don't waste 30 of your years like I did. Go on my brother, go on! #Same Eve, different face!!!

Such sadness in the melody, you always say "it's all about the chords"...so true. I did hear a hint of Stings, If I ever lose my faith chorus in the middle. Beautifully played.

You crushed it in another way sir. Really beautiful and tranquil. There’s a sadness to it but I think a lot of people identify with this.
Thank you dear friend. I play guitar too and I identify with this soul. I’ve never known you personally but I bond with you through the music you play and the words you speak, like a brother because we’re the same.
