I saw this recipe from @Ruthannzimm Homesteading with the Zimmermans for homemade burger buns. I decided to give it a try. I didn't know if it was going to turn out or not but I call it a success! They were delicious!

Thanks for following! And remember to be salt and light! - Sue

Ruth Ann Zimmerman is wise beyond her years and also a great teacher! I agree, if you made these hamburger buns you can most certainly make biscuits! I am teaching myself how to make biscuits by reading and watching a lot of people's videos and lots and lots of practice. In ten years they are much much better but still can be very inconsistent results for me. But you also made these look easy so maybe I will try this recipe too. I need an apron like you have there, it looks like it has good coverage. I make such a mess all over the place when I do anything : ) Thank you for the video.

They came out so good. I love making yeast rolls. I make cloverleaf rolls for the holidays, but also some pans rolls so they can make little sandwiches with the turkey or ham. You did a great job.

Those look and sound good--that RuthAnn Z. is amazing! As for biscuits, buy some Southern Biscuit mix, Formula L. All you need to add is buttermilk (or sweet milk + vinegar to make your own) and it makes the best biscuits ever. You want a moist batter--sprinkle out some SR flour under and over the dough. Knead them 7 or 8 times (by folding in half) until they aren't too sticky; roll or pat out and cut your biscuits. Bake as directed. I make a whole batch and freeze the extra in a ziptop freezer bad when they're cool. They reheat beautifully if you don't overbake them the first time. I think a lot of restaurants use this mix--it used to say Restaurant Formula L on the bag.

If I wasn’t 5+ hours away from you. I’d gladly teach you to make buttermilk biscuits from scratch.
