"It not about protecting them from all those negative feelings. But to teach them how to deal with them." Best price of parenting advice anyone could relieve. Bravo girl.

Why do these points make so much sense yet I have never seen this before 😅

As a child I would get in trouble for any kind of emotional outburst and all it did was make me unable to regulate my emotions. You’re doing your kids a huge service by not only letting them feel their emotions but helping them understand how to deal with them. Thank you.

Youngun didn't want to wear a coat in winter. So I said, "Go outside for 5 minutes. If you still don't want to wear a coat, you don't have to". She came back in and wanted to wear a coat to school.

Finally 🥺 finally a parent who prioritized teaching their kid how to regulate and cope

( instead of 'preparing them for an uncaring world' by *checks notes* teaching them that those uncaring reactions are actually a form of love)

My parents were anything but gentle and I feel like I’m raising myself again through these videos

As someone who is in therapy for childhood PTSD I appreciate that there are parents out here like this teaching another way.

This is amazing. She’s actually teaching her daughter to express her emotions

A someone who wasn't allowed to express any 'inconvenient' emotions at all growing up, you're doing amazing. Watching your videos actually helps me with healing my inner child.

My five year old will say ‘You made me mad’ when she’s having a meltdown. I let her have her moment and then have cuddles, sometimes she needs her own space other times she needs love. Hubby gets annoyed at it and I have have to remind him that we are her safe space and she needs to feel comfortable to express how she’s feeling and then we can work through it. He didn’t have parents that leg him feel what he needed to feel.

Thank you for showing me how to be a gentle parent. I grew up in a household where it was all punishment and yelling and I'm scared I would do that to my future kids. Watching your videos has helped me realize how to be a good parent. Thank you ❤️

“Our job as parents is not to spare them from all the big, bad, awful feelings, but to teach them how to deal with them.”

Never has my parenting been summed up so concisely!

You know your mom is a relatable one when even she gets a kick out of the number 69, regardless of the context.

Working in special needs, I meet adults who not only have ID but also psychiatric issues because they were not supported to learn about feelings, real life etc. For example, they fall for someone, and they cannot deal with being unable to demand that person's attention all the time and there is obsession, manipulation, screaming and violence. You are doing great things.
