Great info here! Thanks!
In my experience, negotiation depends on how much leverage they have.

Thank you for this! I’ll be 26 in a month and I finally made the decision that I want to buy a house in 5 years. I started taking my finances more seriously and made a plan to pay down my outstanding debts and clean up my credit. I was out of work for a year and my credit took a big hit. Unfortunately, I was using my credit cards to survive. 😢 I am aware of the decisions that I made and my goal is to hopefully settle with the agreement that it would be removed from my credit report. I plan on taking a day to sit down and talk on the phone with whomever I need in order to get my life back. I feel more confident now that I have a plan! 😊

Very useful information that actually makes sense. I have a hard time trusting “1 size fits all” videos and info out there by dozens of videos about removing debt/dispute letter to debt collector. So thank you Mike Wasylik for these videos ! 🙏🏻
I have a letter from debt collection from a closed account (PayPal account) that shows as “ sold to/ charged off” on my credit report under closed acct. The debt collector claims whole amount (2, 700$), but understanding how this works, I am guessing they n’ouït his debt for pennies/$ . I have a few days to respond (based on 30 days ) should I dispute or attempt to negotiate to delete?

I'm trying to accomplish every goal you mentioned in a confidential pay for deletion fashion

First off the video is very informative and much appreciated! I have a couple questions though. I acquired a $6200 debt from some apartments at the end of 2020 ( collection co filed may of 2021) which of course was a tough financial year for most so are there any "leniencies" given for debt from 2020? Also what is a reasonable offer percentage wise as far as getting it paid and removed from my credit? Thank you so much in advance for any response!

Goal: Lowest amount, quick, clean. They going after me for medical co pays that were never paid, and I contacted them about a month ago asking for debt validation they say they need an email and I did not give my email told them to mail it. Then all of a sudden send me something pay this next couple of years.

$12, 000 in debt. Credit cards, a personal loan and medical bills. I'm trying to pay it all with $10, 000. 10 separate creditors. I want to shoot for paying 75% on each bill.

I emailed Bill Clanton because I'm in Texas and he was on another video of yours speaking about Portfolio Recovery, however he did not email me back. I just have a question... So, they are suing me for an old debt, which was originally from two prior collections... However, the amount is wrong on my credit report. They are saying I made a payment of like 41 dollars and I never did. I just am wondering what you think about this? I was thinking about making them an offer I just want it off of my credit report and I can't afford very much but it seems odd that they say I made a payment and never did.
