I was sued by a debt collector as well I went to the judge where the hearing was explained that I was not working any more due to health issues and the company wrote it off . I had been out of work 2 years .So thank God. I was able to show proof of my job loss of no income .

I have a very close friend who worked for couple years for a major collection company in Canada. She finally quit because she could not take it anymore to do that job. They harass people because they make no money if they don't collect. I laugh at complaints boards where these companies always claim to work ethically. They don't, they are predatory.

Known this for years....because of covid I have occured minor debt. Im in no position to be able to pay....debt collectors literally just called me....my exact words WELL considering I NEVER made a contract with YOUR company I am now hanging a wonderful day.

If a collector is silly enough to buy a debt from a company you owe money to then that's their problem . If for some reason I wasn't paying my bill then I'm certainly not paying it to someone I have no obligation or contract to . Debt collectors have no rights at all .

I worked at a large tech company and they had debt collectors go after our clients. I found out that not paying the collector actually had no impact on the credit score.

I used to be the bad guy. I worked collections for a Pay Day Loan company. I made them a buttload of money (and got a big fat commission too) but after 2 years I quit. It hurt my heart to harrass people that I know shouldn't have been given a loan in the first place. I pray every night for forgiveness.

We're in a recession right now. The government needs to shut down collections agencies, and everyone's debts wiped clean. We got kids to feed and can't be worried about greedy shady companies trying to steal our money.

I paid a $4000 hospital bill and then requested a statement showing that I paid it. They never sent it to me and I had to drive, as I had moved, an hour away and wait for about 30 minutes to get the receipt. About 2 months later I started getting calls from a debt collector claiming that I owed $1300 from the same hospital. I explained a couple of times that I had the paid in full receipt but it didn't stop them from calling or mailing me. Now I just ignore them or claim they are not talking to the person they asked for. Got about another year until they are no longer legally allowed to call me about it.

I missed an appointment for my glasses. Then they sent me an invoice of $200 for missing the appointment. I was like heck no! They had the odacity to send it to a collection agency.

True they don't have the original contract, they just send xerox copies of statements. Also, paying a debt in collections, even a partial payment resets the debt clock ⏰. Great content 😃👌🏾💯

Mr white did a fantastic job on my credit, I had a very low credit score I couldn't get approved for anything, which was very disappointing for me. But now I have an average score of 8 2 3 across all the bureaus, Mr White is the best and most reliable.

When i became disabled and my finances went down hilk and hospital bill went up they teamed up and took me to court which was the besy thong to happen i think. All the judge did wad ask me if i could adford to pay this 2500.00 and i said no. He closed the case and it came off my credit report and they no longer bothered me

I usually threaten a law suit for harassment when collectors call me. The calls seem to stop after that.
