Laptop Won't Turn ON power LED blinking easy FIX

This is the problem your laptop battery totaly discharge and the laptop won't turn on even after you plug the charger. This is a very easy fix, if it dosen't work first time try it again.

Greetings. IT guy here, if this doesn't work and you've tried everything. You may either have to change your charger, clean your ram, or finally, change your Laptop Power Jack/port. (The blinking lights could be a sign that not enough voltage is getting to the board)

EXPLANATION:

The issue described in this clip is a laptop that got stuck in standby mode. The problem is quite common. It can (usually) be recognized by the power led: it's blinking. Usually slowly blinking. The trick that we need here is to FORCE the laptop to shutdown. For 99% of the laptops this can be done by holding the power button quite a long time. But not 30 seconds, usually around 10 seconds is enough. Removal of battery and/or power cable is not needed. For the 1% cases where holding the power button doesn't work, you would indeed need to remove power cable and battery for a few minutes. Holding the power button at this point is total nonsense of course.

I suspect that the maker of this video removes all the expert comments and leaves all the "thank you's" so as to keep up the magic. Anyway, I tried my best to inform you about the reality.

PS: this issue has nothing to do with battery issues as some commenters say.

PS2: Also desktop PC's can suffer from this issue. This will also be fixed by holding the power button.

PS3: All brands of all ages can suffer from this stuck-in-standby issue. However, not every laptop will show a blinking power led in this case. So holding the power button for 10 seconds is always a good idea before trying anything else.

Okay, I was really dubious about this at first because the title didn’t describe my exact issue and also that my laptop doesn’t match the one used in the video, but as I continued to go through the steps shown, it actually worked! Thank you, this actually helped. I woke up yesterday to my laptop not turning on. It was an old laptop, so I thought the battery may have completely died. I was ready to buy a new battery, but I'm glad I held off after noticing the blinking power led light, after all, couldn't be completely dead if it still blinked. $15 - $16 saved ^^

To all those people having the same issues with laptops having inbuilt battery, follow the same steps...
hold the power key for 30 seconds...
and then try switching on the laptop!!
worked fine for me!!

IT guy here, I can concur that this works, for those wondering how, holding down the power button discharges the laptop from all the left over electricity, and then reinstalling the battery gives it a fresh start.
