In this video, I will be showing you how to troubleshoot a laptop that won’t come on for one reason or the other. So you’re left with a blank or black screen with nothing on the display. I come across these situations quite a bit, so I decided to start recording my troubleshooting processes and sharing with you guys here on this channel.

There are several possible reasons why your laptop might not turn on, some major and some minor so certainly, some repairs are easier than others. What I will be sharing with you in this video and in subsequent videos in this category are some repairing tips and approaches to troubleshooting these kinds of issues in case you’re having one yourself. And if at the time of watching this video I have made the follow-up videos, then you can also check them out to see if any of them matches the situation of your laptop in case this one doesn’t.

I do not know how much I THANK YOU!! We have no money to buy another laptop especially in this pandemic. My mom and I were extremely problematic on where to get another laptop for my online class since there's no money and we can't go outside. I looked on your video, removed the battery and pressed the power button for 30 seconds then reattached the battery, charged, turned on, AND IT WORKED. I'VE CRIED OF JOY. Hello, My Acer laptop behavior is same - noting comes on screen after pressing power button. The computer repair expert is saying laptop mother board one of connecting IC (responsible for processing) needs repair. My question to you is - does this anything to with RAM connector which was shown in your video. Please advise

Thank You. It worked for me.
1. All I did is removed power plug, battery.
2. Pressed power button for 10 seconds.
3. Removed RAM.
4. Put on battery and power plug without RAM and pressed power button. (It starts with beep sound).
5. Followed 1-3 steps again
6. Done some cleaning with cloth on RAM and its slot.
7. Put everything back and connect power supply.
It then started and worked normally.
8. Finally I ran some inbuilt tests of dell to ensure I have no other problems.
