It doesn’t really matter as long as you’re close to failure, but who wants to do 40 reps to get near failure. Low reps has the benefit of increasing strength too, so thats generally what I opt for

what matters most is being close to failure so in those heavy weights of 3 sets of 4 reps will build muscles and less fatigue but those 3 sets of 20 reps will build the same muscle but with much more fatigue. Paul Carter and Chris and other researchers talk about this in the recent study.

What matters is how close you are to failure easier to go to failure with heavy weights but you get a better pump with higher reps

I always do 3 heavy sets followed by two light sets to failure

I bench heavy then follow up with other dumbbell bench or chest press and make sure y’all are hitting your triceps and Lats if you want bench to explode triceps for locking out and your lats help you stabilizing the bar

😂😂 I normally train with very high reps . Not 20, 30.... I mean 100, 200 . I train to muscle failure or close to muscle failure and I builds lots of muscle with it. 💯💯💯. Doing this much higher reps can cause mental fatigue. What we need to challenge mental toughness. By doing super high repetition you not only build muscle, you also gain endurance, mental toughness and also you don't need to do cardio separately. 💯💯💯

misleading information, anything between 5-30 reps provides similar hypertrophy however higher reps produce more fatigue, 4-8rep range is key

Since i only have a set weight, that just means a have to really push myself hard to reach failure each time.

Every single one of those would probably build around the same amount of muscle. Maybe 1-2 % difference at most

I personally never go to the 2-4 rep rage in fear of injury. But I do each muscle group 2 times a week, my first time I do an 8 to 12, and on my next workout of the same muscle, I do 12 to 16 rep rage.
