ur nerv system has to chill at sum point, I put a routine where I go extremely heavy low reps for a 2-3 months and then cool off with high reps moderate weights for a week or two depending on how my body feels, so I can reset the right way and go at fresh again

3 sets . 2 warmup and 1 set to complete failure

What about rest pause training? The first set you go to failure at 20 reps, but then you only rest for 10 to 15 secs so the next set, you hit failure at about 8 reps or less for every set after that.

I like high reps! I’ve seen “Gains” lately. Although it’s hella slow. I don’t mind because I’m in it for the long hall. It’s difficult to stay motivated but I try the best I can.

What about mixing it like 4x3-4reps and one drop set of 17-24 reps?

I trained myself to failure for around 8 year and got some result mostly in muscle mass, did 6-10 reps one set. The problem is that you cannot keep this for many weeks before you experience overtraining unless you take steroids. Now I train with high volume 1-3 repe short to failure and am getting much better results than before + I never experience overtraining because I schedule deloads with less volume - you cannot do that if you always train to failure. I can honestly say that HIT is stupid protocol to be ran itself whitout the context of clever programming such is in the case of the MindPump folks.

It's crazy how guys like Mike o hearn preaches low reps heavyweight he claims that it's less wear and tear in the body less mileage on the body

Where is the evidence to support this claim? Henneman's Size Principle.

All right. Now let's see your 3x25 squat...

3 rep sets seems a bit extreme though for low reps. I thought you were gonna talk about 4-6 reps, possibly all the way to 10 reps

Honestly I’ve only seen gains with lower reps 5-8 reps compound exercises I’ve tried high reps to failure and it’s definitely harder but never saw gains tbh just shoulders seem to grow with higher reps but I guess mixing both heavy and high reps for best results idk

Some truth and some BS.

Training just shy of failure appears to produce more hypertrophy than training to failure. Training to failure appears to increase recovery time without providing more benefit as keeping 0-3 reps in reserve.

How about pyramid training? You get best of both worlds, high to low reps. If you like, your last set may go to failure. This is just my opinion, after 43 years of bodybuilding.

High reps is never better, low rep 8-10 with 4-7 set is better, training intensely
