And don't ego lift. Push your boundaries but listen to your body.

Lower reps are easier to detect failure, fatigue in higher reps can be tricky

Appreciate you implementing explanations more now!

i think go to a weight we can manage good form till failure. Progressively increasing with time

Higher reps = higher endurance. Stay strong! 💪

Good form should be the focus. If you can't maintain it on high weights - lower the weights.

I'm actually transitioning to high reps now cos I tend to mess up my form when I start to lift heavier. I just make sure that I train close to failure each and every set! This seems to be more sustainable for me.

Common rule of thumb.
If you can do more than 12 its too light, If you can do less than 6 its too heavy. Between 6 to 12 is where you perfect your lift in that weight range before you continue to overload it weight wise

Don't forget, lifting lighter for some people will make good technique easier to keep in a set.

depends .. if you can maintain good form 100% go heavier to grow .. but if on the next plate you lose control of the rep then stick to the same weight and do more reps
it's just that simple

Less reps less fatigue = more gains in the long run.

My new trainer got me on a new program with SO MANY REPs and as heavy as I can! I haven't been able to sleep properly in 2 days because of shoulder pain!

I'm telling him I'm not doing this high-rep program anymore.

Drop sets have become my everything bro... hands down the best way to train for me.

Both build the same amount of muscle, higher reps will cause more fatigue than low reps tho

I try to stay in the 1/2 - 3/4 rep range. 1 full rep is just cardio.

What are you working here bro, triceps?

Rep ranges give me a target for where failure should occur

well. your right but high rep ranged produce more fatigue you need to recover from
