Elden Ring Guide: Where To Go After Liurnia

Elden Ring is dense and such an open world game, that sometimes the best route can be difficult to find. After making it through Stormveil Castle and Godrick the Grafted, then tackling Liurnia of the Lakes and Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon - you might find yourself in a conundrum. Do you take on Caelid and Starscrouge Radahn? Do you head up into the Altus Plateau and attempt Leyndell, the Royal Capital? Or do you yolo your way into Mt. Gelmir? Dave Klein of DaveControl is here to help with a handy route guide to help you tackle the Elden Ring challenges ahead. I ended up doing the weeping peninsula, siofra river and Caelid before going to lurnia of the lakes. My playthrough is all over the place

Great Guide. First one to final recognise that Volcano Manor is dungeon 4 and Lyndell is 3. The game guides you to go their right after the academy with Npcs and many warnings. Yes You can get any 2 great runes but its;

storm veil into the academy, (ruins precipice dungeon to get to altus plateau) then Lyndell. The area of Cailed can honeslty be visited after lyndall and 100 percent Altus platue should come after Lyndell.
1).road to stormviel

2). Stormviel

3). Limgrave(100% if you want)

4).Lurnia road to Academy

5). Raya Academia

6). Lurnia of the lakes 100%(not counting Carian Manor)
6.5). Carian Manor(Very optional)

7). Ruins precipice mini dungeon, to get to Altus Platue. (Or dectus lift but you miss out on a great mini dungeon)

8). Road to Lyndell Capital
8.5) Radahnn just the boss fight(optional)(Can do later)

9). Lyndell Capital

9.5) Cailed 100 %(optional)( not counting Dragon barrow, do that area at own risk)

10). Mt. Gelmir road to volcana manor ( Can skip with Rya teleport but you will miss Patches funny rainbow rock bait)

11).Volcano Manor (technically optional but I would do it since its an amazing Dungeon and You will need levels for Mountain top of the Giants late game)

12). Altus Plateau 100%

12.5) Mt Gelmir 100%(optional)

13). Shaded Castle (optional) (will need forcrucial smithing stones 5 if you are purposly avoided all tunnel dungeons)
13.1) Sofria Aquaduct + Vailant Gargoyles(optional) (Should have beaten Morgott before Gargoyles, if not you need to turn back)

14.) Subteranean tunnels under Lydnell (Optional, but you can do this later, its tough but it will give you smithing stones needed before Mountain Top of the Giants. I got 5 Smithing stone 7s)

15.) Forbidden lands and On wards'

Limgrave can be done before stormveil, but alot of the bosses are tougher than godrick, atleast by the games standards of health and damage, that being the Erdtree knight and the dragon.
Also you can take dectus lift but the Npcs guides you towards the ruins and says the lift isnt working.
Elemer of Briar in shaded castle only gives 24k souls but still should do AFTER Morgott, Mini bosses and the amount of ruins do not follow the normal guidelines of the main dungeon bosses.
Same with Vailant Gargoyles 36k souls but based on thier damage and health(5.6k each) they should be done after Morgott(who only has 9k health)

I started playing this game again well. Ever since the dlc came out I am amazed, how these games difficulty standers are hard I am impressed how many people took on this game and challenge. Some bosses in these games hard asf. Lol 😂 thanks for the video. Man 2 years later still came back to it.

This was a great help because I went up to Aldus Plateau after wiping the floor with mobs up to that point only to get absolutely wrecked by literally everything.

This video was so helpful. I didn't know why I couldn't take the lift to Altus and so I was stuck in Caelid 😂 But I had already done everything to do there that I could without getting stomped on by something too powerful so I was just kinda at a dead end! Super helpful!

Ah the halcyon days of 2 weeks ago, when I thought Liurnia was the northernmost point of the map and thought I only had Caeled to go before finishing the game

FYI there’s a 3rd way into Altus Plateau which is using the iron lady transportation at the bottom of Raya Lucaria! Not the easiest but hey it gets you there :D
