Inhale 4 Exhale 6 - Calm Breathing Technique | HMFYOGA
This is a really simple calming breathing technique which can be used anytime of the day to help combat stress, anxiety or maybe when you just need to find some mental focus or clarity. This breathing technique will take just under 3 minutes out of your day and can have a huge impact on stress levels and mood.
For this calming breathing technique we inhale through the nose for a count of 4 and exhale through the mouth for a count of 6. We do this for a round of 10 times together.
I find getting into a comfortable position first helps with this, so either laying down or sitting in a comfortable position. Close the eyes or rest the gaze onto one point.

Did this 15 min ago. Sat in an empty room and closed my eyes. First time couldn't concentrate and found myself crying after first couple breaths and being all over the place emotionally. Calmed down, decided to restart and just kept looking at you while breathing. Feeling much better now. Thank you Helen!!!!

I just want be held and cry😢 i had a struck and cant read, my health is bad...i wish I would have taken better care of my health. I can't sleep because of my stroke. I have to take sleeping pills and I still barely sleep. but thank you for this. it help me feel kind of out of it in a good way. I guess you called out I'm a high strong person so I honestly don't know what it's like to feel relaxed to me, it just feels more like" out of it" I'm not religious but there was a time a few times where a certain people prayed for me and had felt as if my mind went blank like nothing was in it... but I didn't say the word relaxation because again... I'm a high strong person. the first thing I don't think about is relaxation... I just wonder why all of a sudden when they prayed for me. my mind went blink + breathing that you just talked about.... like my mind went blank.... not mad. just different and odd that I realize that's just called relaxation something I'm not used to.
