In Dark Souls 3, you can gesture in front of the Firekeeper and she'll respond back with gestures like laughing, bowing and even do a graceful spin.
I wished the team added more feature of interactions with Melina...goddamnit Miyazaki.

If we were able to get lap pillows in the field like this, it would’ve been so much more painful when she sacrificed herself to get us to the Erdtree. I would’ve, and I hate to say this, preferred this much more to what we got.

Every time I found a new grace first thing I checked was if there's a Melina prompt. I loved her telling me new lore about her mom Marika and I'd always ask for a level up even if I didn't have enough runes just so she'd hold my hand.
She's such a great character. Before, Shanalotte from DS2 was my favorite maiden but now even though Melina isn't technically a maiden she's still my favorite. I wish we got more interactions with her or at least have her at every grace even if she said the same dialog.

You know, when I heard that we get both a "level up maiden" and a "bonfire", I was excited.
But Melina is barely ever there, if she joined you why can´t you at least optionally call her at a site of grace?
Even if it´s just cosmetic with repeating dialogue, later on it gets so lonely with

I would buy a DLC where they add more moments to interact with her. If we have a companion then interacting with them should be the first step. There are acceptations. An annoying personality like Dragon Dogma's never silent pawns, or the baggage complainers. But for someone like Melina, she is already in the best place, she just needs some time to interact with and explore her personality beyond what she is. A single scene with a hint of jealousy would be adorable.
