Horribly unfair to link A with taking social security killing your ability to contribute to an HSA.

I enrolled in Medicare at age 65, and I pay by check 490.00 each quarter. Now I am 68, and plan to take Social Security benefits. If I enroll in Social Security online, will they automatically deduct my Medicare payment out of my Social Security check?

Just throwing this out there - may it should be? Should you be able to use Medicare before you apply for Social Security? Interesting thought…

I recently started Medicare at the regular time and paid my first Part B premium for 3 months from my HSA tax free. I don't really like doing 3 months (in advance), but that is the only option they give. I did just decide to start social security in JAN 2022, a year or so before FRA, because of the nearly 6% COLA starting in 2022. Might as well bank some of that.

Thanks, great video 🙌, I’m one of those in a large company and still working after FRA and have a HSA. Undoing all this will be a challenge in a few years and will be looking for help then.

Thanks. Always informative. Are you going to change the name of your company to GEN Z (or whatever the next generation is called) Benefits for the next generation of retirees? :~) Just kidding. Thanks so much for always providing great information. I'm working with a member of your team and will be signing up in November! Thanks again, BB!
