Fun fact. I’m 11 years old and have been learning german for about a week on doulingo and I can say whole sentences, Ask for directions, order food, and read simple children’s German books.

A couple of hours. Grew up with Spanish, then English and eventually chose to learn German. I say hours because I took it in high school for a year, which equates to hours since i didn't practice at home. When I finally got stationed in Germany it was nice having the locals complimenting me.
