Very true! Now, I'm not a 3D artist (I'm a level designer), but I always welcome questions about how my previous schools have been. It's also not as sensitive of a topic as asking about past work places can be, so I always try to be thorough when giving my perspective.

Great points. One small detail about loans and interest here in the States is that here a student loan is the ONLY kind of loan that you cannot declare bankruptcy for or default on. You are married for life to a student loan and I think co-signers are on the hook for their lives too.

I went to an art college that is now gone and my loans were forgiven earlier this year. However, that means my degree is dated on my resume even if I chose to omit the date of receipt (some recommend doing this to avoid being deemed "too old for the technology" or "too young to have experience"). So now I don't know if I should just omit my degree entirely.
