Does paying the minimum by the statement date as opposed to the due date do anything to help a maxed out card or is it more important just to pay it on time? Also if you are doing a pay down method is there any effect by paying by the statement date? As far as your credit score go? Or getting it paid off any faster?

I got two cards.. I’m about to pay one off and close it.. I know it’s going to hurt my scores. But I’m just going to stay in debt with I don’t. 😢😢
