One of the most honest and believable break up scenes I've seen. That "rose colored glasses" line is some poignant shit. And wise. Then again she IS an owl...

“Same thing that always happens. You didn't know me. Then you fell in love with me. And now you know me.” Is what really hit me. Because ot seems to describe how a lot of relationships (romantic and not) go with me.

As someone who’s been in an abusive relationship, this quote and interaction hits so close that I can’t help but cry everytime I watch this scene

This show made me care about a fucking owl and a horse breaking up. What is my life right now?

Wanda, although hurt, and obviously the victim in this, can acknowledge her own faulty vision (ironic for an owl) as part of the problem. It would be easy for her to just blame the other and pity her own self. BoJack is a textbook narcissist who, at this rare moment, is sincere enough to show all the real shame and self loathing a narc has behind the facade of arrogance, grandiosity and enablement. Unique scene with nothing pompous and fake in it. Just a bitter - bone crushing truth.

That....honestly hurts a little bit. He's so damn lost.

I really think that Wanda was the best relationship Bojack had in the series, maybe even the only healthy one.
She was the only one who Bojack just legitimately enjoyed spending time with, and had an adult relationship with. With Anna it was only sex and when he knew her personally he didn’t enjoy it, and Gina started as sex but Bojack got attached, and Gina was still distant.
I think that if Wanda and Bojack met one another at different times in their lives they coukdve really had something.

"I can't be around someone's who's just fueled by bitterness and negativity."
"Well then what are you doing here?"

My last 3 relationships in a nutshell.

“Is it true you once dated a woman who had just woken up from a 30 year coma? Were you attracted to her naivety too?”

Those word hurt in the final season, especially after re-watching their relationship.

That rose-colored glasses quote perfectly described all of my previous relationships. Got me right in the chest.

She may not be no Charlotte, but damn, Wanda's got a point towards Bojack.

You know. It took me three years to finally understand the metaphor about seeing life with rose colored glasses.

...Huh.

I was horribly abusive to my last girlfriend, but because I never yelled at her or hit her I never thought I was abusive, I didn't even see my own red flags.
When she left it showed me how terrible I really was.

She didn't know me, then she fell in love with me, then she knew me

it hurts that this reminds me of my mom and my older sister

Watching this show feels miserable when you share many traits with Bojack.

The rose colored glasses line always stuck with me, I tell people that all the time, always had an impact on the way I look at people
