I was in the midst of quite a deep depression when I first watched this scene. It actually ended up being a turning pointfor me. It's quite brilliant really.

UPDATE: Apparently people have been liking and replying to this now 4 year old comment of mine (thanks, I guess). More so, there appear to be those who share my sentiment and while there others who are curious to how this "saved my life". Well to give quick answer to the latter;
When this episode aired I was young person on their own for the first who had bad habit of being down on their self. I kept comparing myself to others and focused on what I didn't have. At the time I saw myself as not having accomplished anything or making progress in whatever I was trying achieve. There where plenty of time when I wanted to give up for good. The words in this clip were words no one else had told me and I was too far gone to have realized for myself. Now hearing this alone was not the end all fix all to my problems in life. But it was a stepping stone to get me past them. To this day I think about this scene.

Earlier in the episode he asked a different group "how do people get up everyday and live life" and at the end this random guy basically gave him the answer. That's why he looks up and seems relaxed and says "okay" the way that he does. I love this show

Did anyone notice that during the flashback episode in Season 3 we see this running guy running with a partner who's an old lady... indicating that it's highly probable that she died between then and now, and that now he's constantly running with memories of her?

I had this moment when I first decided to get sober. First month was easy, but the second month was Hell. Third month I finally snapped and tried to sneak some wine at a party and just felt...nothing. No relief, no satisfaction, just same as I was. I realized then there was no going back. Now when I'm sad and think about drinking I immediately go "No, that's pointless."

It got easier.

Best ending for the season I could ever think of. Bojack is having a hard time with his career, his personality, his love life, his self-esteem and to end it like that. To tell him that change is difficult, but working at it everyday makes it easier is fucking golden.

I'll take this line over the "don't worry, everything is going to be ok" advice everyday. things are not going to magically get better or easier by just avoiding them, you gotta accept that the problems are there and that you need to, step by step, acknowledge their existence and do something to resolve them. I come back to this comment section every time I feel like it doesn't get easier so I can remember that as far as I do something to make it easier, It will probably get easier. thanks guys.
