still can’t believe the best portrayal of depression in TV came from a show about an animated horse

This intro is such a banger but can we also talk about how well it portrays the series and Bojack’s cycle of toxicity as a whole? The low synth drones representing his depression and dissatisfaction with his life before transitioning into a holy crescendo, showing the glimpses of redemption/hope inside him only for it to go back to the regular beat as he hits rock bottom and goes back to being the selfish, drunk asshole he’s always been.
