I was about to put the router back in the box because it didn't work well in any mode but only your video helped me to finally see the problem in the configuration. I was skeptical but it worked. I skipped some steps as I didn't need this to be wireless, I just needed this to turn my router into a switch. Worked, very happy :)

Why did you use 192.168.2.1 for AP instead of MR DHCP Range or staticIP on the 192.168.0.x ?

Here you have advised to connect main router LAN to ap LAN. But in the tplink manual it suggests to connect main router LAN to ap WAN. Can someone kindly explain why there are two different suggestions and what difference does it make?

i suppose this setup is only when both devices has wired to setup access point as both devices connected with each other wireless ??

for the accesspoint should it be static or dynamic ip ?

I think if you connect LAN to LAN, then Disable DHCP on AP Router and give it a fix IP 192.168.2.X and then it will work as AP, if you give to the SSID the same name as the Main Router then you will have kind of a Roaming function and only one network?
