I really love this movie. Maybe not immediately but it grew on me afterwards

When Arthur Fleck said that there was no Joker, what he meant to say was that he did not have the split personality. I still believe there was Joker but not in the sense that it was another personality. Arthur still acknowledges himself as Arthur with the Joker makeup despite nicknaming himself The Joker. That's how I interpret the reveal that "there was never a Joker".

So anti-climatic! 😭 such a let down..I completely agree - so much wasted content and potential. Joaquin is so amazing in everything he does, I absolutely loved him as this character - one of my favorite rolls of his for sure. Lada gaga could've been amazing as well, but again just went to waste bleh..

My thoughts on joker 2 Folie a Deux ending prison inmate sequence is basically the Arthur fleck is treated as the monster, wicked hateful individual whose mentally ill and then as the joker the fans look up to him as a hero. where it falls apart is they reverse back towards the first where its not necessarily we sympathize his pain; we understood why he did the things that he did from the first with little to no moral compass. The sequel completely wiped those elements away. Which is why it hurt the rewatch ability for me. I left feeling confused, frustrated cause it had the chance to be great I seen the actors trying. Gonna be very divisive.

Did us like Davod Gordon Green. Idk why these comedy directors feel the need to destroy IPs like the Joker and Michael Myers. Once again was getting excited for a new viewpoint and you totally decide to make a WHOLE new character with a familiar, cash grab name. TROLLING
