Basically ONI pitcher plants. I think they're more analogous to bristle berries which also require a liquid fertilizer (water) than mealwood, althou bristle berries do require light, light is fairly easy to get early on with a ceiling light. I think its unfortunate no critter feeds off them however - even mealwood can be fed to dreckos/glossy dreckos which makes mealwood useful all the way till late game.

You say growing bog buckets is the only use for bog bucket seeds, but that's not true. Bog bucket seeds can be fed to pacu to grow their population. IMHO, that's actually better use for these seeds early in the game than to farm Bog Bucket as pacus, even in small numbers, can be an amazing source of omelette.

I supoose they are worse than bristle Blossom but definitely they aren't that bad, well at least you get in the starter biome lots of polluted water to be fair and has a recipe in the grill unlike the mealwood. But it is true that since Blossom can be combines with other plants to make better food, you can keep the same farm forever once its set up sustainably.

40 kg of polluted water and a dark place? For 1850 kcal and minus 10 to decor per plant?
Bristle Blossom needs 20 kg of clean water per plant and a 10 watt light source per 7-11 plants. Each plant gives 1600 kcal, +15 to decor, reduces stress with floral scent and keeps germs in check by itself, and light allows dupes to harvest it 15% faster.
Swamp is a terrible place I guess. XD

I was under the impression that pumping germy water into hydroponic tiles DOES NOT transfer germs into the food. Am I wrong? Please correct me if so.
