Yeah my understanding is that creatines main benefit is increasing muscle endurance to workout longer and that’s the reason for increased gains.
I think the biggest side effect would be feeling a bit weaker on the last set.

Creatine is actually crazy good i been taking it for about 2 months now and I can see the improvement I can run faster lift more weights and I recover faster for sure that being while running or lifting weights
