All i know is iv had my xtr impact and hammer drill for four years. Use them every day dilling holes, and the impact literally does about 1000 self taping screws daily. Got 3 of the normal 4 amp batteries that are 4 years oldand one of the high output lesss then a year old. It has never let me down. Doesnt heat up ashot as co workers dewaltsor Milwaukee. And has out lasted those same two brands. I am 100 percent happy with them and will stick with kobalt

$99 for driver, good battery, & charger right now. TTC says this driver is the torque king

I just mess around with small projects at my house, I love all tool brands like kobalt they’re good enough for me, BUT I completely see why people don’t like it, especially carpenters who do use impacts every day. Obviously I wouldn’t want to be lunking around that kobalt impact all day long on a shift lol

HELP PLEASE!! I'm a newbie to this type of wrench. I just bought the Kobalt 1/4" impact wrench kit with soft case. How do I attach sockets? Looks like I need a special adapter to do this, that apparently is not included. Is that the case and, if so, what exact part do I need? Thanks in advance.

I'm hearing the new Hyper Tough impact driver and high torque impact wrench are pretty beast.

They’re on sale for $99 right now. Debating if I should get one of them or the new Skil with the halo light, both are 100 bucks. Just want something cheapish to keep in my Rzr for out on the trails. Don’t wanna beat up my usual impacts that I keep in the garage

They need to release a newer version of the xtr. Sleeker and faster. Kobalt is falling behind their competitors

Definitely not bad. But as a homeowner? Right now, I'd pick Hercules over Kobalt. Or even Hyper Tough is impressive nowadays 😅 Though the deal you got would be difficult to refuse ngl.

Maybe better than Ryobi. That would be a great test. Battle of the worst Kobalt vs Ryobi vs Makita bs Skill . It would be the Suck Bowl

Xtr is way overrated and there gen 2 stuff is better now anyways Ridgid is great and lifetime service agreement is great but craftsmen contractors agreement for real world work is best value in the business replace broken tools in one day
