I'm a 20 year carpentry veteran, and the one thing that messes up my whole project is caulking, people don't understand the importance of a nice finish. You've definitely taught me a thing or two.

It reduces the back pressure which causes the caulk to keep applying

Also a great tip: you can use the caulk gun to cut the tip off your caulk

Keeps caulk from coming out after letting trigger loose.

This is so awesome. Now do u have to put the vent hole directly in the center of the tube or does it matter just as long as it is close enough to the center?

Never seen something so satisfactory in my life

Been working as a Painter for last 15 years. There's dripless caulking guns on the market nowadays. Been using it for the last 6 years and still works great. Only cost $15 CAD ... worth every penny.

If you listen carefully, he clicked the lever on the back of the gun also. But not in the first part where it's oozing all over!

No drip. Also helps to use the correct ratio caulking gun in the first place.

Lets not forget about applying lube to the tube, you know. To keep it from sticking. This guy makes it look so easy

Most of the skills in caulking are tactile, not visual. If your caulk keeps pumping, you probably squeezed the trigger too hard and long and left the whole tube under pressure at the end. Lighten up while applying the caulk, and you'll often get the same results without the drip.

Just use the correct gun if you are having trouble with a experienced one

I just use the pressure release on the applicator to stop that

He still mechanically releases the tension at the end. 🙄

If you release the pressure you know with the actual level they give you there is absolutely no reason to do this, and besides after the job you can’t save the caulking because it’ll just dry uo faster with both ends open if you have the right angle to begin with you don’t need to do this in my eyes this is dumb

Here's a trick:
QUIT SQUEEZING THE TRIGGER WHEN YOU WANT IT TO STOP!
