Yes, it is still worth getting a Sony PS4 in 2023. Used, that is. Honestly, even after a decade later, the PS4 is going strong and you'll be incredibly impressed at the kind of performance that this console can still dish out, even in the latest titles such as Modern Warfare 2.

For just about $150 to $200, this might be a seriously good pick up. Our advice, go for the OG PS4 C-Chassis or the PS4 Slim!

PS5 imo is not a generation leap but it has some good and welcoming changes, I have a PS5 myself and it’s more about accessibility, I mostly purchased a PS5 due to the high demand as I wanted to have access to it before it’s no longer available (although this has changed)

It wouldn’t be the end of the world if I still had a PS4.

At the very last minute I decided to upgrade my original PS4 to the PS4 Pro console, I bought it from Pawnshop for $150 even the graphics are very clear and sharp compared to the original PS4. It’s great console ever since it’s release back in late 2016.

Bought my PS4 in 2015, it’s still in very good condition, no problems, still using it to date, have a great time with it and play many great games: God of War, Last of Us, Witcher 3, Uncharted 4, God of War Ragnarok, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, Hogwarts Legacy, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman, Red Dead Redemption, etc

Just bought a new one from target for $300. It’s worth it imo, because It should last longer then a used one and you get a brand new controller with it and all new cables.

If your keeping it long term it makes more sense to get new.

i got my PS4 Pro on 2ndhand market, PS4 still rocks this year, but Im probably upgrade to PS5 later this year 2023 for Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

I’ve had my ps4 slim for the past 7 years and it blows my mind that’s a unit that was released 10 years ago can run games like modern warfare 2 2022 and ps5 games in general. Aside from visual bugs in modern warfare 2 (I should probably do a deep clean because war zone runs like actual sh*t aside from the gulag )I genuinely agree that’s a ps4 is still a pretty good gaming console though if you are going to buy it as your main console I suggest the standard or pro is a better choice because slim is generally not the best . I love my ps4 and I had a ton of memories that I will never forget while playing with the bois and no new gen console imo can beat those memories

I still play on my Xbox one, yesterday i had played cod black ops 3 after taking a long break from playing games and had so much fun playing a few rounds of team deathmatch and then i played some splinter cell, saint’s row 2 and gta 5. I kinda almost forgot how fun playing the game really is.

They sell them here in U.S for $299 at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy new. People are obviously ignorant to the fact $100+ more dollars will get you a digital PS5, way more powerful, plays old PS4 games and is FAR more future proof. So what's the point at any price?

Im revisiting my ps4 slim for 2 weeks until Re4 remake comes out, especially dead island 2 the following month, treating it kind of like my low end gaming pc, plus the ps4 web browser im using to search the web for free movies to watch too, use to have ps4 pro but have it to friend to get into PlayStation with an SSD, hes had a blast and will upgrade to ps5 soon.

i bought my ps4 slim during a days of play sale for around US200. it was a bundle with gow, hzd & gta5. still running side by side with my ps5 & ps3 slim today. although i replaced the drive with an ssd.
