Picked up the cheapest PS4 I could find on local market and it was advertised as "Noisy console. It worked fine, but made loud jet engine/vacuum cleaner sounds LOL, so took it a part and cleaned it, including the fan and rad, now it is quiet and works even better. Oh and it also came with 2 controllers and one would "not work. All I had to do is reset it with a pin and after charging it, it works fine. My 6 yo is happy, so am I. Peace

Found a ps4 for 90 bucks at a local garage sale with 2 controllers the guys reason was “I bought it years ago and only played it twice” pretty lucky find for me

2nd hand PS4 pro is just around 12, 000 pesos or 290 Singaporean dollar, and usually the seller bundled it with more than 5 games.

Honestly a used PS4 and Xbox One X kept me going happily these past years (got my own xbox in August 2021, and base model PS4 in March 2023). Even added an SSD for the PS4, but haven't got around to upgrading my One X in that way. I was earing good on those consoles as I skipped PS4/Xbone in their prime having almost exclusively been a Nintendo player (my brother was the one who owned the houshold PS4 and I'd only occasionally play on weekends back from work or university in the past).

I only just got my PS5 roughly 3 weeks ago and whilst its a nice luxury, I can't shake feelings that the PS5 still stands to currently serve as a PS4 Pro Pro. The intergenerational crossover and lack of current gen exclusives doesn't make the PS5 a compelling purchase for many I'd assume. There are also nice current gen exclusives games on my backlog already such as Tekken 8, Astrobot, Stellar Blade, FF7 Remake Intergrade, FF16, and Returnal. And I've also been meaning to grab the Demon Souls remake, Ratchet and Clank, and FF7 Rebirth but almost 4 years in and I'm still only able to count the number of new gen exclusives I find compelling on 2 hands. Many of the cross gen titles are already in my PS4 physical collection.

The plus side is that Xbox one and PS4 physical games are finally in their dirt cheap phase both used and on clearance sales. Hopefully this window lasts a long time before things become "collectible" in the future.

I got one at facebook market for $80 comes with everything except a controller, the previous owner wasnt selling it because theres something wrong with it, its just because he upgraded to PS4 PRO, overall he actually took care of this PS4 no loud fan, its a normal warm but doesnt overheat at all after playing RDR2 for straight 10hrs and the temperature stayed the same and the fan did not get loud at all

I bought a used PS4 slim gold last year, and I don't have problems with my ps4 yet, It looks brand new when I first bought it, without scratches or anything like that

Got my mom's PS4 as a hand me down. Bought WipEout Omega Collection. I totally recommend owning a PS4 just to experience this wonderful franchise. I wish they'd bring it back.

2nd hand one homebrewed it installed linux and now it has steam still very good
