I have an Xbox Series X and One X. I haven't owned a PlayStation since PS2. I bought a PS4 Pro a few weeks ago, and while it has no ray tracing, which is extremely unfortunate, I think it is still worth it in 2023. While i love the PS4 Pro as well, the console really does sound like a jet engine; its so loud. Feel like i should be looking for my luggage hearing that thing. Anyway, I'm likely to wait another year or so before I invest into a PS5.

I got one of the first original ‘chunky’ PS4’s off of the production line back in 2013 and to this day it still works like day one. Never had the jet engine noise, I can’t even hear the fan when the PS4 is the only thing turned on in an empty room. Only ever had to replace the controller, clean dust away from the air vents and clean the lens once in a while. No need to rush out and get a PS5 just yet.

I’d still recommend a PS5 over the 4. Framerates, load times, and dynamic res are noticeable improvements. Even online play is better since the you can use the PS5 Wi-Fi 6 on PS4 games. Less interference than a 4 or a pro

i switched my original ps4 with a ps4 pro when it was released, upgraded the HDD with a SSD drive a couple years ago,
haven't seen a need for a ps5 yet honestly

I had a ps4 back in the day. Og black version, now I have a white phat model and as long as you clean your console, apply new thermal paste, and switch your hdd for a quiet ssd, you won’t even notice any noise or excessive heat.

I still prefer the ui and themes for ps4 over than ps5! Plus the library of games on the ps4 available is amazing! Def worth getting a ps4

Im still running my PS4 Slim, only upgrade was a 2TB Internal HDD. GT7, RDR2, Sniper Elite Series, Metal Gear Solid 5, Snowrunner etc. Whats not too love about epic games such as these examples. Just run a simple box fan to assist with cooling PS4, keep it running smooth & happy for years by doing this.🎮🕹😊 I wont upgrade to a PS5 anytime soon, untill maybe a PS5 Slim or a PS5 Pro becomes available & "on sale".

PS4 Pro is amazing, but after you try to play on PS5 you forget about it.
Graphics is much better, frame rates higher and super smooth, you get raytracing, and also super fast loading times, it's a night and day for every console player.
PS5 is pretty expensive but more then worth it.

I had the ps4 pro since 2017 and I have never had any problem at all with it I absolutely love it and it's still going strong 😊 so there's no need for me to get a ps5 at all because I am still satisfied with my ps4 pro😊

If you are a "Horror game collector" you should get a ps4, there's thousands of good horror games on the ps4

I don't know why most are saying the ps4 is sound like a jet engine..i never had this problem on my ps4 slim.even on my original ps4....or maybe because i used to had ps3 which is noisier than any of my ps4..
