To everyone saying I got details wrong after the movie came out, this is clearly based on the book which has many differences from the film

Okay but what really gave me the feels was "The Hanging Tree",
Imagine Snow just chilling in his office and Katniss bringing it up out of nowhere, it surely hit him like a truck

'The Hanging Tree' hits wayyy too differently now...

Also the fact that Katniss sung ‘deep in the meadow’ to Rue in the arena as she died and that the last time he probably heard that song was when Lucy Grey sung it to Maude Ivory to send her to sleep by the lake made Snow hate Katniss and remind him of Lucy Grey even more.

Now we know what Snow's last thought was before he died (after Katniss shot Coin).
"Snow lands on top."

For me one of the most shocking things about Snow is not about Snow himself, but the realization of what was about to become of Tigris. His sweet cousin, who was soo caring and supportive of him. She loved him so much, helped him in any way she could. To think this sweet girl was to become completely addicted to plastic surgery, which will lead to her turning into a grotesque cat-looking creature. To think she will become the stylist in the hunger games and THEN fired from this job (most likely by Snow himself, let's be honest) just to end up in a cheap fur store, away from people's sight, forgotten and probably broke. When she meets Katniss, she says ''I'm going to kill him'', Tigris looks really pleased with this thought. It's portrayed beautifully in the movie, the look on her face says everything. He must have been so cruel to her, probably gaslighting, lying to, manipulating just to abandon her completely in the end.

It's so fascinating how a lot of aspects of Snow's past ties into his character throughout the hunger games series
Can we all agree that Dr. Gaul is the true villain of the hunger games series

Highbottom's statement, "That's the sound of Snow falling." is ironically correct. But it's not Snow falling from power, it's Snow falling away from human decency.

Dude NO WONDER snow hates Katniss. She sang two of Lucy Greys songs, even the one she made up. Not to mention her name is KATNISS the thing that Lucy went to collect before disappearing. She also had the fiery spirit and wanted to rebel

I think that snow hates katniss bc she reminds him of Lucy gray and her rebellious ways

The book was just fascinating, I didn't think it would be possible to sympathise with Snow but for the majority of the book I was on his side and rooting for him to receive a positive outcome. It wasn't until he abandoned Lucy Grey that I remembered what an awful person he would become. In that single chapter he turned from the boy at the start of the book to a total monster. The most shocking part was definitely him choosing to accept the support of the Plinth's despite being responsible for the death of their son without showing any guilt or remorse! I hope Suzanne Collins continues with these prequels as it would be interesting to see the new dynamic between Tigress and Coriolanus as well as further progressions in The Hunger Games themselves

Remember when snow said to katniss "it was the thing that we love the most that destroys us" I'm sure he was referring to his love for Lucy that made him weak. Yet it was actually his love for power that destroyed his one possible true love

Total chills on just how quickly Snow turned on Lucy to murder her. And how Snow knew about Katniss's lake- which explains how he knew about Gale kissing her. he probably had the woods watched, or cameras installed.
When he lost his last few mementos after being in the lake, i knew he had totally lost all that made him human. Excellent book- i was afraid Susanne would make excuses for him to explain his evil. But no, he was a sociopath to the very end.

I really didn't expect the ballad of songbirds and snakes to be closer to the shining than the hunger games.

I found it shocking how quickly Snow turned on Lucy Gray, how he didnt even hesitate to kill her after he found out she knew what he was up to. Snows only loves things he knows wont effect him in a negative way, as soon as things start to go south, he instantly protects himself first. Thats why I think he could never get into a real relationship with Lucy Gray, as he thought of her as a something not as a someone. She was something he could own, she was his girl. Idk its all very interesting.

The whole time reading the book I was so confused on how a boy like Snow ended up a tyrannical president but at the end I realized that him thinking Lucy Grey was out to get him made him think that no one from the districts could be trusted. I feel really sad for him tbh. And for Lucy Grey

Snow is a prime example that once you do one bad thing, it just tempts you do more. Why? Because you realize, okay I've already done something horrible, what difference does it make if I do more? Stay pure.
