North Carolina Forecast: Calm & cool morning Friday before humidity ramps back up this weekend

We've enjoyed some refreshing, drier air this week, but the weekend brings a return to normal summer humidity. Things will start cool on Friday, with lows reaching the mid 60s with some clouds, making for a calm mornig commute to work. Friday brings near-90 degree heat with a high of 88. The weekend will feel hotter with added humidity, although morning clouds might keep temps in the upper 80s.

Highs will make it into the upper 80s, near 90 degrees for the weekend. Saturday will be the drier day, with only the chance for a spotty shower. It is the best day for outdoor plans.

The rain chance is greater on Sunday, although storms will still be isolated and fast to come and go. Any that do form could bring high winds and the possibility of hail. While this week brings a welcome break from the heat and humidity to start, it's important to stay hydrated and take precautions as temperatures rise towards the weekend.

After the cold front moves through, we'll have another dip in humidity on the way with highs staying the mid-80s through next week.
