How to Enter Into BIOS / UEFI on All Microsoft Surface Pros (1,2,3,4,5,6,7, X)

I show you how to enter / boot into the BIOS or UEFI on any Microsoft Surface Pro. This goes for Surface Pro 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, X, etc. Hope this helps.

If you're trying to do this on the surface laptop, try rapidly pressing one of the f keys (F1-F12) during the logo and before the loading circle/dots

yo so since on a surface pro 6 this doesn't take you to bios do you know anyway to turn on virtualization for it because that just isn't a setting that can be changed on the UEFI

I have a Surface 3 and done get the same screen. I get a DOS looking screen with TPM, Secure Boot Control, Configure Alternate System Boot Order along with a couple of other options.

I followed your directions which I have seen other places as well, but no logo or screen comes up. I have a Surface with Windows RT 8.1. I can get to the Troubleshoot screen; however, there is no UEFI option there either.

I cloned my surface pro 2 win 8.1 drive c to an nvme 2230 ssd. When insert the nvme ssd into my new surface pro 9 it doesnt run, tries to repair but fails. I disabled security in bios setup if surface pro 9 but still fails…also made sure I disabled bitlocker encryption before i cloned the surface pro 2. Do you know what the problem could be. Does surface pro 9 just not run windows 8.1?

The Surface Pro I have will not do anything when I press power whilst holding the volume up button. It switches on fine when I press the power button without holding the volume button but will not do anything when I hold volume button and then tap or hold the power button whilst still holding the volume up button. any ideas?

This does not work for the Surface Pro X.... I have found conflicting info on the Microsoft sites when it comes holding up-volume or the down-volume until the UEFI comes up, after tapping the power button.

I don’t see the boot the configuration option in bios. Been working on computers for over 20 years and this is regulation’s to me. Some ideas even take the laptop apart. Please help.
