iPhones: 'Charging Not Available. Liquid has been detected in the Lighting connector'? FIXED!

If you have an iPhone and you try to charge it but a message window pops up saying, "Charging Not Available. Liquid has been detected in the Lighting connector"? What you need to do is let your iPhone dry. After using my iPhone in the pool it usually takes about 2 hrs to dry then it can start charging again. At times I had to wait up to 24-48 hours but a trick to dry it quicker is to shake the phone and also blow in the charging port, speakers and mic jack if there is one.

You may get this message on an iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, 8+, iPhone X, iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11Pro Max, iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 14+, iPhone 14 plus, etc

I dropped water on the charger by accident n I shook my phone up n down for a few mins n put it in front of the fan lol n it actually worked I can’t believe I didn’t think of the shaking 😂 0:46 I even blew into it it worked!

I’ve done emergency override several times and it’s never ruined my port. I film a lot under water/take pics and I’ve done it probably around 100 times in the last three years with the same phone. Just telling my story. I wouldn’t try it if I were you. Idk how it’s not ruined my phone by now

First, I would like to say that I NEVER comment on YouTube videos but this "hack" has saved my job! I was letting my 9year old son use my work phone and was not aware that he had a water balloon in his pocket (life of a boy mom, I guess lol)-well you can tell where this is going. I went to bed hoping the phone would dry out overnight to my horror still not able to charge phone and I have to be at work in about 2 hours. I tried the hack...shaking for 20 seconds, blowing, shaking, blowing for about 20 minutes. I threw caution to the wind and tried to charge my phone again and IT WORKED!!! Thank you so much!

Here's a tip: use a compressed air can and use it to blow straight into the porthole for like a few seconds. I fixed mine straight away! hoped this help :)

Thanks for the vid!! Ive got the iphone 13+ and it's water proof. So i took it to record in the pool. It was working perfectly fine afterward but when i went to charge the phone, it kept saying Liquid Detected and wouldnt charge. But my battery was about to die and I needed it WELL before 24 hours later.

I tried putting in a cotton swab and some tissue into the charging port, but it kept saying Liquid Detected. Thank God i found this video, because i shook my phone downward and tapped the bottom of the phone against the palm of my hand for about 1 min and then it worked! No Liquid Detected! Thanks a million for this hack

Another tip: you can put your phone in front of your fan with the charging port facing it for about 5 mins!!! :)) it worked for me!

My phone was just having this problem and I walked outside when it was sunny for like 30 minutes and kind of swung my arm a little while holding my phone and then I could charge it again so maybe try that, hope it works for you guys too

LIFE SAVER!! I had my phone in the shower with a lot of steam because I wanted to play music by mute then I went to charge my phone before school started and it wouldn’t work so I was freaking out so I looked up how to get water out and this video popped up and it saved me 😭 thanks so much
