Google Pixel 9 Pro XL VS Xiaomi 14 Ultra Camera Comparison | Videography

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is my personal favorite for videos for reasons that will become obvious in the comparison, but the Pixel 9 Pro XL has Video Boost that has the potential to produce exceptional videos.

I own Xiaomi 14 ultra. Hear the sound quality of Xiaomi! Its crystal clear... The main 1 inch sony LYT 900 lens & other Leica Summilux lenses revolutionized mobile photography this year!! Battery life is pretty good too. The natural shallow depth of field it creates is amazing! Hyper OS is fast and fluid. No "lens fog/condensation" issue in my unit. It does nt just click ptctures, it captures memories! ❤ Pixel lacks SD 8 gen 3 chip which is a big factor for ISP! its the heart of a mobile.

I absolutely hate the oversharpening and oversaturated look smartphones tend to follow nowadays. Big company like google, samsung, apple only rely on their software, and year after year the upgrade is so subtle as the limited factor is the hardware. So they add sharpening to everything and 99% of people think it's better because we are now used to social medias fake photos and videos as the more you get away from reality the more it pops out in our feed. Xiaomi is the clear overall winner here, the footages have details and are soft to my eyes

In the battle of the Ultras, if a phone can't do it internally then I don't consider it as an Ultra. I'm talking about the pixel of course... Not being able to provide 8k30 without having to go through a damn cloud... This way for the money ! Put your researchers to work and give us a processor that's worth it. For more or less 1000€ at least the 14U does the job like some other Ultra.

So sad you did not capture the microphone on main-camera videos. There was so muc wind and this would be perfect to test sound quality on video capture on main camera.

Why did you not let us hear that? Please do more Microphone Tests on Maincamera under noisy conditions (like wind).

As a Xiaomi 14 ultra user I find the subtle image enhancements are more leaning towards compact cameras than social media ready.

I don't think the video is as strong although this is not one of leica's or Xiaomi strengths. Unless you are talking about Panasonic.
