Google Pixel 9 Two Weeks Later - Finally PERFECT!

It's been 2 weeks since I've had the Pixel 9, and I've been using it every single day alongside the 9 Pro XL which I am reviewing next, and spoiler alert, this is a really good phone from Google. As someone who enjoyed using the Pixel 8 Pro from last year, this Pixel 9 is actually the phone that I was really looking forward to at the end of 2024 because I've always loved the Pixel's camera system and their whole Pixel experience, and I knew that the smaller, non-pro phone could be pro enough if you look at things from a different perspective. Are you going to pick one up?

I have always used Samsung but this is my first pixel I bought the pixel 9 the base model. It is awesome fast is hell. I am a very heavy user between COD and porn. I be burning this phone up. And it doesn't get hot it's mind-blowing. I work in maintenance so I be in tunnels and places where my work iPhone can't get reception. But not this pixel I get great reception. I love this phone and I am now a pixel guy yeah.

I just upgraded to base Pixel 9 from base Pixel 7. Best decision ever made. The phone is perfect. It has literally no cons (imo). Best of all, the speakers are now finally very good (Speakers on the base Pixel 7 is so tinny I feel my ears bleed when I use it )

There are so many features on a pixel that is not avaible in different countries in Europe, so it is impossible to know if the phone is worth it compared to Samsungs S24. There at least you know exactly what you get...

I went from 8 Pro to 9 regular. The camera is great. The phone is as fast as my iPhone 15 Pro in every day use. I don't care about the selfie cam or not having a vapor chamber since I don't game on my phone. This phone is fantastic, regardless of price. Face Unlock is still there too.

I don't understand why people say it looks like and feels like an iPhone. The camera layout is completely different. And then the button arrangement is different on the side. I've never held an iPhone until the other day when I compared the two of them. I suppose it's similar? Iphone is more ergonomic. I also held both phones differently because of the camera hump.

I am in the stage before buying a new phone. I currently have ZenFone 9 and I always really liked the Asus software experience and hardware as well especially battery, but I also really loved the pixel 2xl when I had it and it's my benchmark for phones. I don't know which one to pick next, the pixel 9 pro for it's cameras and os or ZenFone 11 ultra for it's superior battery, superior battery health customisation and way better hardware. I use g-cam anyway, and am able to take good picks with anything, but boy would I love those pixel cameras. What would convince me to buy the pixel pro 9 would be if the battery life was at least comparable to the ZenFone, especially in hot spotting, but I doubt it, there's almost no phone that can beat the zenfone

Got a pixel 9 pro on pre order. Looking forward to getting that. Considered the s4 but the pixel pro seemed nicer. Hopefully I'm not disappointed.

Apple seems to be taking a MUCH more mature approach to AI, and their hardware is powerful enough to handle most of the processing on the device itself.
