This was really difficult to achieve, i had to make several redesigns and tweaks over the last weeks to reach this milestone. But its a real proof of concept, still a lot of room for improvement. Very happy to finally being able to show you this! Enjoy and have a great day, Good luck with everything you are doing!

Yes!!! It actually works :)
Im honestly relieved seeing the machine perform, i kind of knew it would work but still... i cant stop watching the machine play, rewatching it all the time, especially the part with the drums alone at the end.

What an incredible work of art. Stuff like this absolutely blows my mind. I can’t imagine the planning and conceptualization of something like this. It runs so perfectly and to see how happy it makes you is something really special. Outstanding work!

I really hope you play the original marble machine song when mmx is finished, I'd love to see it come full circle

Just WOW. Tats so crazy!
I will start working on the vibraphone plate holder now so we can hear the vibraphone ASAP :)

I recently showed the original Marble Machine to my Dad, and he couldn't believe it was real, and only when I showed him some of the work you did making it, he just seized to speak. He was speechless for the first time in years! He's an Engineer and he loved how it worked. Can't wait to show him MMX when it's finished :D
This is just Astonishing work you made. So far it sounds just perfect and I am waiting to see it when it's done.
Keep up the work Man!

You know when archeologists dig this up they are gonna freak

So cool. In an age of digital technology, someone actually builds a clockwork/steampunk marvel of physical engineering that works _incredibly_ well.
And the poster looks great, too! I love how you drew over the printout for a handcrafted look.

Someone: *So what instrument do you play?*

Wintergatan: *um. . . It's kind of complicated*

I was trying to explain my son about the beauty of over-engineering.
I let him watch this channel ....

Truly amazing... It's like watching a real "pipe dreams" with the machine making music.

Every time I see an update for the awesome machine I lose my marbles 🤭

Next up: Martin builds a tree-planting machine to plant all the trees he just promised to plant...

After seeing the video of how the Marble Machine X performed live after several engineers worked to restore it, I came back to just listen to this song. There’s something that’s just so somber about it all.
This song is how Martin wanted the Marble Machine X to perform, but it just wasn’t meant to be. When starry-eyes vision and dreams over crept the reality that although the machine is beautiful, function should have always come first. I don’t find it sad in a demeaning way, but a genuine damp pain like Martin was awoken from a dream that he really didn’t want to be. I’m sure he was aware of many of the issues along the way but likely hoped and prayed they would straighten themselves out with time or that future Martin would magically find the solution one day before the Marble Machine X’s eventual completion.
