What has helped me calm down and not get anxious over my thoughts is that I always say to myself ”it’s okay It’s just anxiety It’s not future predictions”. Then I know that my ”what ifs..” are just thoughts that protect me from possible future scenariois but since we cant’t predict the future I know not to believe them.

One of my favorite phrases is: "I'm doing the best I can with the information I have at the time." Works for both future and past scenarios. Just live in the present moment with what you have. Make everyday life decisions to the best of your ability as well as comfort, because you don't have to be perfect all the time either. And remember, indecisiveness is also a decision.

It's hard putting it in practice though 😅

Saw something before that said stress is worrying about something that will happen or is happening and anxiety is worrying about something is irrational. I always try to separate the two...key word is try

Mine takes me to my past. I feel that I'm suffering with depression and OCD. I ruminate over past mistakes. 😢
