Wizard101| Top 5 BEST Ways to Get Mega Snacks

UPDATE: Kingsisle recently made changes to the fish in both Aero Village and the Sky City Estates. The Blackberry Jellyfish is now a MUCH rarer spawn and has been effectively replaced by new fish spawns including the Fire and Ice School Fish. This makes farming Blackberry Jellyfish a much more time consuming and resource intensive activity and I can no longer recommend it as a quick and easy option for gold or mega snacks. This choice from Kingsisle is incredibly disappointing and I hope they consider reverting the changes soon to allow for more player choice and accessibility when it comes to in-game resources.

As a kid I raised a pet to mega without using pet snacks because I didnt know that snacks boosted XP, I remember grinding the obstacle game and the dancing game all day.

If you buy the golden wheat bread recipe and need the fish, go to the aero village and do fishing spell that removes all fish but rank 2 then every fish you catch is the one need.

Been gardening for mega snacks since couch potatoes started dropping in GH, catching several double gardening events before KI stopped the double seed drop. Now i have 960 couch potatoes and still get the ocassional drop when farming. 480 DHE and nearly 4000 emps. Nearly all are sitting at elder across 6 characters at multiple houses.

Prickly Bear Cactus plants are great getting rank 8 snacks. They have a chance of dropping at mature and elder harvests and drop extra seeds too. They can be bought for gold in the Bazaar. Additionally you can sell the smaller rank snacks they drop for gold to help fund hatching costs. Oh and you can harvest twice per day, IIRC was roughly about 8 hours apart. Another plant I used to grow before i had lots of Couch Potatoes was growing stacks of Cornbread Fruit Bush. They give a 20% drop rate for Golden Wheat bread snacks at elder. They are also available for gold. I also used multiple wizards to help garden so my main had energy to train, while they kept me snacks. Each wizard only needs to be level 12 for gardening.

I also found that harvesting plants during double gardening is really good, it not only gives double the snacks, but also double the seeds back. The only annoying thing is waiting

Great guide! Fun fact though jesters has said that the reason they give away mega snack packs is cause they are one of the most popular items in the crown shop. Makes sense when you realize only ~11% of people garden.

I can't belive I used to buy mega snack packs. Now I just farm the ghultures in Mirage. I avoid burnout by limiting my farming time to half hour a day. That's how I got 168 couch potatoes. Of course, caring cor that many plants requires energy gear and an energy pet.
