Not much happens. Once you have been taking creatine for 2 or more weeks, your muscles are saturated with creatine, and missing a day of supplementation won’t meaningfully decrease your creatine stores.

In one study it was found that stopping creatine intake for 30 days resulted in only a 22% decrease in muscle phosphocreatine stores [1]. So if you miss a day or even a week of creatine supplementation, no worries. Just get back on your regular 3-5g on a daily basis and you will continue to see the benefits of creatine intake.

Now, just as a reminder, creatine is a performance supplement, so it helps strength athletes slightly improve their muscle and strength gains, as supported by research [2]. But by no means are you dependent on creatine if you take it.

Its like missing a day of eating red meat or salmon. They have creatine in them and missing a day not eating them won't affect you

Creatine is beneficial, definitely more than 1%.. not that you said that. But its directly tied to your workouts because the benefit is in the workout itself. Not as some builder of muscle.

Thanks after 2 weeks of drinking warm water with creatine for better tolerance, my stomach started a revolution again. I need to take a break for a couple days xd

I stopped taking it. I went from 11.8 inch arms to 12.5, then I stopped since I could not afford more. In just 2 weeks of being off Creatine my muscles rapidly lost water but muscle as well. I am now at 11.5 inch arms and I am freaking out because I lost a years worth of progress in 2 weeks. I spent years to have it taken away from me. It is painful.
