As Iron Man 3 approaches its summer premiere date, there's no question Tony Stark is in for one helluva ride in his latest adventure. But just what kind of movie are we looking at, and how will the character evolve given his previous exploits in Marvel's The Avengers?

If you read the IM3 Prelude comic you'll know what happened to the War Machine armor. :) Tony threw it away and made the Iron Patriot armor to replace it.

Michael Caine revealed that the scene was reality (don't, of course, know if we can trust that considering it's not Nolan speaking). Also, in The Dark Knight, Lucius Fox updated his armor to do better against gunfire, but worse against knives and such (I believe, I can't remember 100%).

Though at some point, the Avengers do help to save Asguard and the 9 realms from destruction. And thus Odin grants them with the title of "The Mightiest Heroes of the Universe".

It's the Extremis armor. It may look way different but Tony's gonna take the serum in IM3 thus making that armor Extremis.

there cant really be a reboot... Because technically the avengers story line takes place after tonys already finished experiences... (like whiplash and the dude from iron man 1) and it would make no sense to completely reboot the movies because that would affect the avengers story too... My prediction is that they will either re-sign RDJ to another few movies or they will do what the James bond franchise does (continue making sequels but just changing the actor/ instead of rebooting the series)

The Beyonder actually said that there was no upper limit for hulk strengh meaning the angrier he gets the stronger he is, alas he cannot control it and that is why he is kicked out of earth in the Planet Hulk story line. And fyi Hulk kicks thors ass alot of times

He's not really depressed, he just sees more of a need of Iron Man in this world than Tony Stark, and it's sort of an Identity Crisis. He wants to be Iron Man all the time, but when the armor and tools are taken away from him by Mandarin, he's forced to be Tony and use his mind to get his life together and get Shellhead back.

Yeah, I'm a fanboy of Shellhead and proud of it.

Avengers is not a group like Justice League, they reunite when a great danger faces the world. Plus they got their own wars to fight as well, and most importantly members come and go, the avengers will lose some members, eventually the original Avengers would be gone.

That's why they put in all the scenes of Batman beating Banes thugs with virtually no effort.

That is true in comics at least, I assume it works that way in the movie universe.

In the comics his mother was English and his father was Chinese. Ben Kingsley, the actor who's playing him, has an English mother and an Indian father. I'd hardly describe the actor having a father from a country that only borders the one from the actually comics as whitewashing.

if Tony is feeling the stress of being around super powered heroes and threats, imagine how Black Widow and Hawkeye must be feeling lol

They need to realize that our Heroes are mid 30s early 40s and need to make sequels if there gonna keep them as characters and young

Hm, seems like Hulk would win as he's smarter than Thor and also faster than Thor by slightly. They have about the same strength, but Hulk does heals up.
