EA Sports FC 25 Review - The Final Verdict

More often than not, the biggest changes that EA’s annual football series has touted in recent years haven’t ended up amounting to much, leaving many disappointed with their surface-level changes that ultimately don’t really improve much. This year, however, EA Sports FC 25 feels like a much welcome legitimate upgrade for the series over recent years, even if it is ultimately still an incremental step forward, owing to the series’ very nature.

Career Mode has seen meaningful improvements at long last, while the addition of player roles and an even greater emphasis on tactical flexibility gives players even greater strategic control over their team. Some issues still remain, of course, but it’s safe to say that EA Sports FC 25 is a better game than most of its predecessors in recent years.

It will be same as years before with mega handicapping, momentum swings in game, laggy servers, button delay and bugs. Save your money and wait till new year when TOTS and the game is on 80% sale

They’ve absolutely butchered career mode.. The menu is HORRIBLE it makes it almost unplayable

What I want to see is the removal of the 15 season limit in career mode. For me the run becomes the most interesting once most real players are gone. It's fun to see how teams develope over a long time. At least that's what I always liked in the older football manager games.

i prefer 2013, 2016 fifas game play. Was more fun. The gameplay in these latest ones are just looks slow and boring, and doesn’t really feel or play right

Still looks like ping pong. The ball feels too 'attached' to players and rarely feels free/loose. The way goals are scored still looks them same as Fifa 08.

The days I miss where we got a proper story mode. While a bit melodramatic it was still fun to place.

Instead we get Volta then Rush which are basically FIFA Street but without any of the fun.

The game has made strides in terms of its animations. There’s still a ton of wonkiness to the players’ feet when they’re dribbling, but the running looks a bit better, and the shooting, passing and collision animations are really quite good now. The ball physics and AI are both underwhelming, but not dealbreakers in my opinion. I’m so burned out on PES ‘21, I may have to pick this one up and live with its flaws.

I have played the last 10 games and dont understand the hate for this one. Playing on world class with the simulation settings have produced some of the most fun games i have played. Gameplay feels more realistic and the new tactics are nice.
