"Hey bro how do you shoot?"
"Idk man, try the circle button."
"Nigga, they are ALL circle buttons!"

Ahh yeah, I meant specifically for the Ouya, and you make a great point because I probably would've never heard of this unless I'd stumbled on it through kickstarter. I think it needs a better marketing strategy so others will hear about it. Maybe some ads on YouTube or something like that. They seem to have a decent team of professionals working on this project so surely someone can get the word out properly.

The hardware will upgradable and overclockable with knowledge of soldering and general hardware modification respectively. You will be able to use USB flash drives or MicroSD to increase storage space. The graphics will be slightly greater than that of an iPad 3.

The Ouya will be worth it (if they deliver what they promise) if solely using as a media center, especially with addition of XBMC.

Wasn't expecting this. Sounds nice. My best wishes to the people behind it.

Being a homebrewer and hardcore gamer myself(only because a constantly play them, not by what kind of games I play), the price itself makes it a good buy, especially if it's specs are good, but I don't buy consoles for specs myself. Since many of the games are F2P, and making my own games with the OpenBOR engine(we have an android port for it at chrono crash forums), I'd get it, especially with the promise of indie devs. BTW, the game I work on is Sega Brawlers Megamix, like SSB and PSASBR.

It will be able to play huge games as well with the Onlive application meaning you will be able to play all the games you love through the cloud as well as all these other indie games. :)

It really depends on what kind of games you already have access to in the regard of what indie games might get released. This thing would've been much better for me had it come out before last christmas when I got my new laptop, which can these F2P games, but before, I could never run then, however, if you don't have access to the games in general, this is a good consoles to get, espcially if you have no plans on buying the newest consoles, plus, Namco an SquarEnix are making games for this.

with the specs he just said that will be able to be 4 times better if not more of solid state memory to be able to look better than Playstation 3. It would be able to, as long as the people programming it does a fine job as well.

With how insanely powerful cellphone/tablet games on android and iPhone are getting this is going to be pretty cool, it has tegra 3 running at 1.7ghz, that's pretty powerful and it's only $99

Initially the games library will be scarce but I think if the right developers get hold of it then anything is possible. The only limit to the success of this device is creativity. Some of the games displayed look exceptionally good (one looks very similar to gears of war in terms of graphics) so it could be quite impressive. Alternatively if you don't like any of the games available you could try making your own.

It would have been smart of them if they added mini expansion slot/s inside to add additional Tegra 3 chips. Then after it's release one could add another 4 CPU cores and extra GPU power for next to nothing.

Got a 3.5 review, sucks at the moment but with the extra funding hopefully it will get better.

I hope this takes off, an open source gaming console could be a great thing.

yeah man. I have been keeping up with it, and people are able to run emulators on it now using the developers consoles and what seems to be emulators designed for android tablets. Most of them run great. I am sure there will be optimized emulators around release date that will allow us to play some of the classic`s.

I am a programmer, besides gaming, I need those monitors for work. $600 is about the base price for a decent gaming computer (not including monitors), thus "$600+". The point isn't that all your friends have gaming rigs, the point is that this is a cheap way to game and have fun. That's all there is to it. Some people don't want to spend a lot on gaming. This solution not only gives you a simple console, but a set top box that allows you to play youtube, netflix etc on your TV on the cheap.

There are limitless capabilities (just like android phones themselves), especially since there will be ports for emulators of most consoles up to fifth-sixth generation.

other than it is so easy to hack, it seems pretty cool to have as a new console. I like the idea that it is not trying to compete with sony nintendo or microsoft and that it is just being used for what game consoles are for, playing games NOT raging over what is the best (PS3, Xbox 360, or Nitendo Wii U).

Alright all I want to say is guys it doesn't matter if Its just for Indie games it's just something new and original at least this will be separated from the console wars which means that if a hater hates it they wont buy it and it means mire fun and originality this will give hackers or modders a real chance to show Their individuality and skills this will open up a whole new world for curious gamers to experience it's a small device but it could make a big revolution!!!
