Allie, I'm grateful for you having these discussions. I was Anti-Catholic a year ago and thought you owned George Farmer. But that debate got me interested in researching Catholicism. Fast forward, and just 5 weeks ago I was confirmed Catholic at the Easter Vigil.

Born as a Muslim, found Christ. Became Protestant Christian, till I noticed various disagreements within the Protestant Church. I knew something was wrong. But I knew one thing, that Christ must have left us a true Church, because the Bible often warns against false teachings. I just knew deep down that God will not leave us like lost sheep. After 2.5 years, I am convinced that the Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus left us. Last December I joined the Catholic Church and will remain in it until my last breath. Thank you God for everything.

I’m a Catholic revert. I turned my back on Catholicism years ago and went to a Pentecostal church for about 10 years. I eventually got tired of the rock concerts and pastors screaming into the microphone approach. I found that as I got older I needed a quieter more reverent way to worship and that’s what the Catholic Church offers, worship, adoration and reverence for Jesus. As a Protestant, I will say that Catholics like Trent have really given me a better understanding of the faith & a respect that I did not have before. I grew up going to catholic school & have many catholic family members. However, what ends up happening at family events are those surface level debates that go no where instead of learning to understand & digging into church history. Appreciate it!

I have been a Music Director in many different protestant churches: United Methodist, Universalist Unitarian, Presbyterian, Epicopal. At each church I met wonderful people who love Jesus and I would do my best to understand how each faith was unique so I could do my part contributing to worship through music.

When I started singing at a Catholic Church as a Cantor, my heart transformed in the most amazing way, and I am convicted that the Catholic Church is the true church and the most full expression of faith for followers of Jesus Christ. I know Jesus more deeply through the Rosary, Mother Mary, The Saints, Angels, and the understanding of the Eucharist as Jesus's Body. I realized that protestant churches are missing these important aspects that draw us close to Jesus and therefore most of them embrace new age spirituality as they are still hungry for our Lord.

Since joining the Catholic Church, I have come to understand the Eucharist as the most important part of our faith and have renounced all forms of new age spirituality.

I was raised protestant and was baptized presbyterian, went to a Baptist church when I was young, and then was at a non-denominational church for 17 years. I was never super anti Catholic since my dad grew up Catholic but the past five years, I grew more and more ant Catholic because of the reformed theology I listened too. My brother decided to convert last year, and we debated for about a year. After a year of debating and research I am now in OCIA on my way to become Catholic, Glory be to God, I'm so happy about it.
