Florence Pugh has easily become one of my favourite actresses of these last years.

It’s because she never was second to Jo. Laurie was Jo’s best friend, he met all the family through her. But besides that the only thing Jo had was a strong personality and loads of determination to pursue her goals. Amy was younger and followed her because she admired her, not because she was under her. She is not being realistic, but more like expressing how he sees herself.

I have totally got to reread that book. I I always felt less unsettled about Laurie and Amy than I did about Jo and Dr. Baer. That just felt wrong somehow. I definitely like to Amy more in the movie then I did in the book. Great actress.

I think a lot of people don’t understand what she is going through. Yes, Jo had her own problems but it is incredibly hard to be the middle child, the second one, because no matter what you do your sister has done it first. She’ll always be the person people ask first, you’re just the substitute because they can’t have her. And it doesn’t matter that she is misunderstood because in the end she’ll always be the oldest
